Here is how to calculate your course evaluations average
score and potential letter grade.
Each evaluation is graded as a ratio:
your-score / possible-points
This uses the course weights for tests and homeworks/projects:
Overall-percent = Test-percent * 0.7 + Program-percent * 0.3
- Test weight = 0.7
- Program weight = 0.3
A decimal percentage is made into an integer used in the grade table (see the
syllabus) by rounding to the nearest (up on equals), e.g.,
89.33 ⇒ 89
Often the course grading is curved to some degree, meaning that
letter grade assigned corresponds to a lower numerical range
than what is shown in the table.
