## Csc240 Grading

Here is how to calculate your course evaluations average
score and potential letter grade.
Each evaluation is graded as a ratio:
**
your-score / possible-points**

Compute:
#### Overall Percentage:

This uses the course weights for tests and homeworks/projects:
- Test weight =
**0.7**
- Program weight =
**0.3**

`Overall-percent = Test-percent * `**0.7** + Program-percent * **0.3**

A decimal percentage is made into an integer used in the grade table (see the
syllabus) by *rounding to the nearest* (up on equals), e.g.,
`
89.33 ⇒ 89
`

82.71 ⇒ 83

86.50 ⇒ 87

Often the course grading is *curved* to some degree, meaning that
letter grade assigned corresponds to a **lower** numerical range
than what is shown in the table.
