PREPARING and UPLOADING THE CAMERA-READY PAPER

Authors should prepare a PDF file following the IEEE single-space, two-column format using at least 10 point size type. The paper must be correctly formatted to fit on U.S. "letter" size page (8.5" by 11") with at least 1" margins on all 4 sides. There must be no page numbers, headers or footers on the pages. Please use only standard fonts such as Times Roman, Courier, Symbol, and Helvetica. The IEEE LaTeX and Microsoft Word templates, as well as related information, can be found at http://www.computer.org/portal/site/cscps/menuitem.02df7cde46985ea21618fc2e6bcd45f3/index.jsp?&pName=cscps_level1&path=cscps/cps&file=cps_forms.xml&xsl=generic.xsl&.

The following Copyright Clearance Center (CCC) code MUST be placed on the bottom, left-hand side of the first page of each paper:
1-4244-2575-4/08/$20.00 © 2008 IEEE.
(For latex users, note that you can do this by  a) using the “\usepackage” command and then b)   adding the following command inside the tex file:
\AddToShipoutPicture*{\small \sffamily\raisebox{\hspace978-1-4244-2575-4/08/\$20.00 \copyright2008 IEEE}})

Please note the following page limits: 6 pages. In addition, you may purchase up to ***two extra pages per paper at a charge of $150/page*** which is paid with your registration (please see details on registration form). Also note that EDAS will NOT allow you to upload a paper longer than your prescribed limit above—if you wish to use this facility of additional pages, please email the camera-ready paper to one of us and we will manually upload it for you.

To make sure that your paper is formatted correctly, authors must log in at the IEEE PDF eXpress Web site ( http://www.ieee.org/portal/pages/pubs/confstandards/pdfexpress/index.html ) and create or check PDF compatibility. To log in, please create an account with the conference id: mass08x. IEEE PDF eXpress is a web cite that can help you either generate an IEEE Xplore compatible PDF file, or check the compatibility of PDF file generated by yourself. All camera-ready papers MUST have passed the PDF eXpress validation; accordingly, while you will upload the final PDF via EDAS, you must also email the confirmation of “PDF eXpress validation” (the PDF Xpress report which has the following email heading: "IEEE PDF eXpress: File has passed PDF Check) to the Publication Chair, Dajin Wang ( wang@pegasus.montclair.edu ) along with your paper number. (Note: for final submission purposes, your paper # is the last 4 digits of your EDAS paper number, not eXpress ID. For MASS 2008, all EDAS numbers begin with the common prefix of “1561” thus, the paper # 156115000 in EDAS will have a paper ID of “5000”.) Note that some of you have already uploaded a camera-ready version; we request you to revisit your submission and make sure that the instructions above are followed.

Once you have prepared your pdf, please upload via the EDAS link (note that uploading is enabled only till July 18, 2008 11:59 pm EDT).

SUBMITTING the COPYRIGHT FORM

Authors for all papers MUST also fill in and submit a ‘signed’ copyright form. For everyone’s convenience, we shall follow an electronic copyright submission system. To submit your copyright form, please follow (within EDAS) the @C” link that you should find next to the listings of your papers (this can be seen from EDAS <My Papers>).

Please note that this link is NOT currently visible—to make this visible, we are working with the EDAS staff to obtain the necessary IEEE code. We expect this should be done in the next 2-3 days, so please check back around the 10th of July and follow the link to complete your copyright submission.

COMPLETE THE AUTHOR REGISTRATION

It is MASS 2008 policy that every paper (oral or poster presentation) must have a NON-DISCOUNTED (i.e., non-student) registration completed for the paper to be included in the program and the proceedings. To submit your registration, please follow the instructions in the “Registration” pane from the MASS 2008 Web site ( http://www.cse.psu.edu/IEEEMASS08/ ). As authors, you need to specify the paper ID while completing your registration—this is the same 4-digit paper ID referred to earlier (the last 4 digits of your EDAS paper number beginning with the “1561” prefix).

Important Dates:

Manuscript Submission (extended):     6/23/2008
Acceptance Notification (extended):    7/10/2008
Final Manuscript Due (strict):             7/18/2008

Once again, please note that ALL 3 steps (paper upload, copyright and registration) must be completed by ***July 18, 2008***.
